Did I miss something about the toolbox explanation? I know it was her brother's but the author somewhat insinuated that Dallas had seen the toolbox before. The way he reacted to it made me think that Dallas had known her brother.

Tiffani I think it's more that he was upset about how difficult her life had already been and not that he recognized the toolbox. He just had feelings for her and the reminder she had to grieve her brother along with all the other stuff she'd been through kind of got to him I think.
