One person said that if you're not a rock or plant, you're an animal. This isn't true at all - most life on Earth is neither plant nor animal.

Someone else said that insects and bugs are not animals. This is definitely incorrect.

Insects belong to a larger grouping called the Arthropods and are related to sea creatures like crabs and lobsters. (less)

I will add to Raghu’s excellent answer - I just finished the book and was decidedly happy about how scientific the writing was. Every statement has precision and evidence - nothing loosely stated, no hand-waving.

But be warned that this makes the writing a bit dry, which is why this book has so many negative reviews. If you like/ are used to scientific writing, this book is a delight(less)
