My 13 year old would like to read this. Does it (or any others in this series) have much language, or any sexual elements such as explicitly sexual scenes, vivid descriptions of a character's body through the thoughts of another character, etc.? (I can live with a small amount of language, kissing scenes, mention of relationships / romance, etc. Just nothing too descriptive.)
Vicky Coughlan I honestly don’t think this is a good book for a 13 year old girl. It’s a hit too violent in places

I feel like he is not the main character in these two, just more of a leading character. Book #3, The Cabinet of Curiosities, is where you really start learning more about him and his background. I feel this is where he becomes the main character of the series and it starts to become about him. I would highly suggest starting to read them in order from The Cabinet of Curiosities.(less)
