I was so disappointed with Grisham's last novel I actually STOPPED reading it. I've never done that with him before. I am gun shy about getting his new one. Any thoughts?

Sounds like he had a time limit and stopped typing when the bell rang in the middle of a paragraph. Story is somewhat interesting. Characters not so much.(less)

Who really wrote "The Whistler?" I have read almost every book John Grisham has written and this is not consistant with his writing style.

I just read The Litigators and liked it. Since most of you don’t recommend The Whistler, could you let me know your favorite John Grisham?

Gina Russel A Time to Kill is his best book by far. I liked Pelican Brief, The Client and The Chamber as well. Camino Island and Calico Joe didn't do it for me. Ok guys ive had this book for a few months and have been hesitant to start it. I like Grisham in certain aspects but sometimes he can heavily over due it with litigation. Im curious to know if the Casino and gambling aspect of the book is entertaining and if it plays a big roll in the book? or if it just talks about court room litigation. Also, let me know if its worth the read? Thanks!
