So, I absolutely loved the book, but needed so much more at the end! Will this be the first book in a series? Is there a follow-up planned? I think I would have given it 5 rather than 4 stars if I knew there was more coming :-)

Hopefully this doesn't sound rude as it is not intended that way, but I'm wondering if children in the targeted age group stick with this book to the end? As an adult, it was a worthwhile read with enough metaphors and symbolism to keep me thinking for a while. However, it seemed to move quite slowly, especially at first with a plot that seemed weak through the first half.

Where were the children from, and why were they sent to the island? What happened to them when they left? I guess I'm just too literal, because I don't know what people mean by all the wonderful metaphors and symoblism that are supposedly in this book. I really liked it until I got to the ending with none of my questions being answered.(less)

Hello, I have a question, I LOVE this book sooooo much and am about half way through it, what is the order of the 9 kids ages? My guess: Jinny Ben Joon Jak Oz Nat Eevie Sam Ess But I'm not totally sure. Thank you!
