None of them are overly explicit but there is a lot of detail to the foreplay. This series does deal with a character recovering from sexual abuse so things are talked about but it's nothing over the top. I would not classify this as a romance novel and it's more about the emotional side of their relationships. All sexual encounters are usually kept to 2-3 sentences except for the initial one which is 3 pages. This is pretty standard for her writing style. The only content warning I will give is that there is violence and a lot of characters that deal with sexual abuse and recovering from that. The situations are not described in an overly graphic way but the aftermath the emotional trauma is very realistic and can be triggering to some readers who have been through similar circumstances.(less)

Does Anna become a stronger (less passive) character in this book? I just finished Alpha & Omega .5 as this series was recommended to me (coming off a Kate Daniels & Curran marathon. This was more romancey, insta love than I expected. I suppose I'm looking for her to rival/equal Charles' strength & a aggression. Other recs would be appreciated. Cheers

The actual beginning of Anna's involvement with the Marrok's pack is in that collection. After Shifting Shadows you'd be in the clear to start Cry Wolf without any spoilers.(less)

The novella tells how the main heroes met and 'Cry Wolf' takes place just several days later and continues their story, so there is no repetition there. Besides, I think it will be more difficult to understand what's going on if one reads 'Cry Wolf' without reading the novella.(less)
