Does Anna become a stronger (less passive) character in this book? I just finished Alpha & Omega .5 as this series was recommended to me (coming off a Kate Daniels & Curran marathon. This was more romancey, insta love than I expected. I suppose I'm looking for her to rival/equal Charles' strength & a aggression. Other recs would be appreciated. Cheers

Jimmy Mansir Anna is the only person on earth that does not have to cower to any werewolf. So she is extremely powerful and she uses it when she has to. So I would think she is just as powerful as Charles but in a different way.
Laura Anna totally grew on me, though her MO is quiet strength, not aggressive. A&O 0.5 is really showing her low point before she figures out who she is.
I am a *huge* Kate Daniels fan and ditto what others said about Mercy Thompson. And then farther afield, I just devoured Meljean Brook's Iron Seas series, which is romance (repeated pairings vs. one pairing across multiple books), and love the badassery of all the women. It's steampunk but I find her sensibility a lot like Ilona Andrews's.
