why was it called tripwire??
Bill Jenkins That refers to the warnings the killer gets from Vietnam and Hawaii. When those trips occur, then he goes in hiding.

Why, after Jodie's car is described as an Oldsmobile Bravada, does the author call it a "jeep". He did the same thing in referring to the Tahoe driven by the two assailants. Poetic license?
