I miss the zombie-raising, U. S. Marshall vampire-slaying days with Edward. I'm really sad that it came to that point too. I got through Skin Trade but passed on Affliction so it wasn't so long ago that I quit. I wish her and her loyal readers all the best but I have moved on.(less)

The author clearly forgot about the Raphael storyline because she was too busy going off on one random dead-end tangent to the next...hissy fits with Asher, hissy fits with Asher's new boyfriend, bedroom scenes with Narcissus (WTF?), Micah turning into black tiger (when the heck did that happen?), weird flirty scenes with the new psychic FBI chick, spontaneous reconciliation with Larry, adding 3 (THREE!) new random women to the poly mix. It was ridiculous. Sometimes I wonder if there is an editor who reads this mess at all. And this is coming from someone who has been a longtime supporter and defender of Anita Blake. I don't know what changed, but I think I've had it.(less)
