Often in the same meeting, a man would offer the same suggestion and the response would be "That's a great idea". They could not seem to "hear" the idea if it came from a woman. Women don't need a book to be empowered. If you're a woman, you know all about "mansplaining" even before it had a name. If you're a man, and can't handle criticism, then you're not much of a man.(less)
