The movies on PassionFlix part 1, 2 and 3 make up the first book completely. You could easily watch the first movie and pick up the second book no problem. However, I saw the movie first and I would highly recommend going back and reading the first book before moving onto the second as you get more insight into the characters and the few things the movie had to leave out.(less)
