Maggie Grace Yes, there are a couple sex scenes. I listened to the book and just forwarded through them. They are sort of "romance novel" scenes. He heaved, she heaved, etc.

Why is it in all of these romance novels, even with well written ones like this one, there always has to be an ongoing tug of war between "Letting the Heart be Vulnerable" and "Protecting the Heart". Are romance novelists paid by the page? and if they didn't continue to remind the reader of what they've already been reminded, it would make the story too short?
