How do you pronounce the lead characters name? I'd like to read this but find if I can't even pronounce the name I'll stumble through the whole thing and it won't flow properly.

I have just had this recommended to me. I've avoided it so far as to me it sounded like a direct rip-off of Charles Stross' superb Laundry novels, which I adore and do not wish to dilute. (Also, not really into urban fantasy.) Is it? Are they? Can anyone who's read both comment on this?
