It's actually one of the things that sets it apart from many of the current books in fantasy. My goal was to write a book that was aimed at adults, but could be read by people of all ages. So to that end there is no sex, graphic violence, or explicit language.

Originally, I was writing this book for my then thirteen-year-old daughter to help her get into reading (she struggled due to dyslexia). So again, it's no a YA book by any means, but it is something that can be enjoyed by a wide range of ages.(less)

Revelations was one big tale broken into six individual episodes so yes it all wraps up there. Chronicles isn't designed that way. The first two tell the complete origin story and subsequent books in that series will be mainly standalone adventures. My approach will be to put out a Chronicle then see what the readers thing as far as wanting more. If they do, then I'll write another. I have ideas for 10 more books stacked up but I'll only release them if it's still something people want to read. I don't want the pair to overstay their welcome.(less)

Hey Kelley,
When I wrote the series my goal was to have 4 main protagonists - two men and two women. I do start with the men, so the first two books are weighted toward them but the last two volumes (books 3 - 6) definitely have Arista and Thrace/Modina front and center. I suspect you'll not be disappointed - turns out the women save the men as often as the other way around ;-)(less)

The series was released as individual six books but when Orbit purchased them they re-released them as three, two-book omnibus editions. So the entire series breaks down as follows:

* Theft of Swords contains: The Crown Conspiracy & Avempartha
* Rise of Empire contains: Nyphron Rising & The Emerald Storm
* Heir of Novron contains: Wintertide & Percepliquis

Hope that helps.(less)

If you like Theft of Swords, then you'll really like the rest of the series. I wrote the whole thing before publishing any of the books and that meant I could start out simply and then build the world and character backgrounds across the whole series. Doing so leads to what I think is an extremely satisfying conclusion. If you do read through HEIR OF NOVRON let's talk ;-)(less)
