Are You Having a Lit Fit? Call (or Text) Our New Literary Chit Chat Line!
Here at Goodreads we recognize that sometimes you need to talk about the book you’re reading…right this instant. How many times have you been tortured by an unforeseen plot twist or reached the end of a book and screamed "Why?" Or maybe a beloved character perishes or an unusual couple comes together and you’re left shocked and confused. When that happens, who do you turn to? Friends and family are no help. All you hear from them is “Oh, I haven’t read that book yet.” Or “No spoilers!” Or “Who are you? I have no idea what you’re talking about, stop bothering me.”
There’s just got to be a better way. And now there is. Introducing the Literary Chit Chat Line™ by Goodreads. We’ve hired an army of book-loving experts to talk you through all your literary ups and downs. So, if you’re wondering what you should wear to a “red wedding” or simply need to vent about the end of literally any John Green novel, call now.
But wait, there’s more. If you're not in the mood for a phone call, feel free to text us, too. The same team we’ve hired to work the phone lines, also knows how to text. Our experts have been performing finger exercises for weeks in preparation for launch. Our texting lead Leopold Bloom had this to say: “Sure, I text in my everyday life, but I’ve never had to prepare myself for something like this. On top of all of the reading, I’ve really been working hard on my dexterity.”
So, whether you need to chat, vent, or simply praise a book, grab your phones and call or text 1-888-Goodreads. Well-read operators are standing by!

LOL and I thought I had a good April Fool's joke planned
I actually do need a phone call. I can't handle with
A Gathering Of Shadows
any minute longer. It's killing me! >A<
I'd figured this was an April Fool's thing as soon as I saw it, but it's still very good. I especially love the completely random and brilliant Ulysses reference at the end. :D
I could have used this in 2003 when I finished Goblet of Fire at two in the morning and NO ONE UNDERSTOOD OR WAS EVEN AWAKE.
Just realized if you click on the picture you get a dancing dumbledore.... nothing has ever looked so beautiful on April Fools

Sure had me going...I was like HUH? LMAO! I really thought it was real until I read the comments. GR got me good! :D
But why can't we? Why can't you? Do you know I threw Wool across the room? I needed to talk that out so I could continue reading the book.
Remeber the time they said they were launching a Goodreads Dating site? They do the absolute best fool day posts.

Exactly! I was pulling out my phone. Hahaha.
I saw this on Twitter while I was still sleepy this morning and for half a second I thought, "Seriously? They must be joking." Then I remembered the date and that, yes, they are joking. XD
Yes operator.. hello. I need help... I am just enthralled with this new zombie erotica series.. IT is taking my heart (and brains) away!
HAHAHAHA! LOL!This one should be real and available for international call too. I don't have many friends I can talk to about books I read.
