man, i should read To Kill a Mocking Bird some time.
I have picked at least two books in each shelve and more. Hayley Igarashi really knows what people like in the type of books. Love the choice of books Hayley Igarashi. :)
Got two of these already knocked out (both in 'Late Bloomer')! Six were already marked 'To Read' - three of them in the 'Daydreamer' category. Guess I know what I am...
Animal Farm, To Kill a Mockingbird, Frankenstein, and Uprooted are all fantastic! A few of the others are on my to-read list as well :)
Zombieslayer/Alienhunter{I'm a product of my anger} wrote: "Wow, Uprooted actually looks pretty cool."It is amazing.
Oh this is an awesome post! I have:
by Jami Attenberg "2015 read"
bybKate AtkinsonAnd......
by none other than the incredible Harper Lee and huge shout out to day ~*A Very Happy Birthday to~To Kill A Mockingbird*~ As Penguin books Australia posted: "On this Day. July 11, 1960, #ToKillAMockingbird was published. It went on to win the #PulitzerPrize sell over 40 million copies and take its place as one of the 20th century's greatest #literary works.
....and now we anxiously await:
by Harper Lee A book I'm thrilled to say is just days away, because I pre-ordered it before it had a cover so I'm soooo ready! Ok, back to the list above! There are 10-11 I have marked to read and don't own and I have some amazing reads for the summer. I don't even know where to begin, but it's been an extraordinary year in books! Awesome list above. First time I've had so many already on my wishlist/want to read.
I'll be back to add some good summer reads......great blog post as always. Thank you, Goodreads!

Always spot on and the most awesome blog posts here.
Betsy wrote: "Unfortunately, I would not be interested in most of these books."Same here. No offense but these selections aren't very good.
I couldn't save
for vacation & recently read that one. I already had
on my soon list & have now added
&
from this list. I have a stack of about 5 historical fiction books to get into & at long last
(somehow over time I've acquired versions in hardcover, paperback & ebook) as well.
I dont´feel drawn to any of these books.Summer reads....well, it can be whatever one wants because, from a personnal POV, i read pretty much any genre any time of year and once in a while e take a vacation from the the crime and the hist-fic and do some romance reading, just so i can check that mankind is alright and love is beautifull! But that´s just dorky me....
I would add A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and Joy in the Morning. I am not going to read Go Set a Watchman I don't like my love of Atticus being ruined. Have read To Kill a Mockingbird over and over and over and over and over and, seen the movie a dozen times. The book never gets old nor does the movie.

You will fall in love with Scout and the relationship with her dad who she calls Atticus. It is also an excellent history of our country at that time. Then later we read it in school. I, like so many kids wanted to be Scout.

Maria, I agree. Whatever floats your boat when you get a chance to read :)
Has anyone read "Follow you home by Mark Edwards." And if so is it a good book to read because it looks appealing though don't want to start reading it if it isn't a good book.
Mansu wrote: "OMG! You guys are kinda awesome.. I wanna read one from each of the above categories. :D"jy reply:
That is amazing the guy where did he went and where he is now..3 totally diff rents books..more amazing how he can speak with derision sometimes vulgarity..and when meeting him how he can speak seriously about life and deep philosophy with Hinduism knowledge and always so kind
Funny enough, one of these books is on my 'to-read' list. GZ @ GR staff for making a list where at least one book fits my needs. :D
Sooz wrote: "Maria, I agree. Whatever floats your boat when you get a chance to read.."To me, what matters is reading - summer or winter reads should be free of specific genres: one reads what one likes. I´m not very drawn to sci-fi for example, so i will definitly stay away from it, summer, winter, fall or spring. And it´s always interesting to read something out of the "box" i.e. something you wouldn´t ordinarily read, and be surprised....

I feel the same way. Perhaps they should have a poll asking what is 1 book you plan to read this summer?
