Michelle wrote: "anyone recommend a good series for a 11 year old girl to read this summer? looking for something for my daughter to get into reading like me!"If you’re a reader you probably know all the best. The Little House series, cherry Ames series, Trixie Beldan series, Nancy Drew. I know these are oldies, but their stories are good. No worries of sex, violence, profanity
, just good, wholesome stories! Good luck! 👍

Summer reading program at the library is fun! I read other genres of books to try and fill in the gameboard!

Michelle wrote: "anyone recommend a good series for a 11 year old girl to read this summer? looking for something for my daughter to get into reading like me!"A few series I loved when I was that age were the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer (still one of my faves), Legend by Marie Lu, and the Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart. Also, the Percy Jackson books are a modern classic for middle grade books!
Michelle wrote: "anyone recommend a good series for a 11 year old girl to read this summer? looking for something for my daughter to get into reading like me!"I used to love Harry Potter as a child, doesn't hurt to start with a classic :) And I think that the books by Kerstin Gier (Edelstein-trilogy and Silber, they have been translated to English) are superfun for that age too!!
Michelle wrote: "anyone recommend a good series for a 11 year old girl to read this summer? looking for something for my daughter to get into reading like me!"I recommend Enola Holmes, Anne of Green Gables, & The Winnie Years by Lauren Myracle. :) One of them is called "Eleven".
im hoping to read a lot over the summer since the junior year has made it so hard for me to even get a page in :(
This year have a lot of books to buy and read but my free time is limited so i don't know how to do it
Michelle wrote: "anyone recommend a good series for a 11 year old girl to read this summer? looking for something for my daughter to get into reading like me!"The granddaughter FINALLY picked up "Island of the Blue Dolphins" and now can't put it down. She likes stuff about magic, dragons, pets, animals...she's read all the Harry Potter books. I have a set of the Hunger Games ready for her, if she wants to read them. Her teacher read aloud "The Giver" and I just ordered a copy for myself (can't believe I've never read it) and also read them "Number the Stars", which she loved. Hope this helps.

I want to read The Hunger Games. I have the series for the granddaughter, but I might read them first!
I just finished "A Thousand Splendid Suns" and now I want to read his other books! I'm sending an extra copy to a friend to read, so maybe she'll get hooked, too! That should keep me busy most of the summer, with an extra book or two thrown in. I also just finished Extinction by Douglas Preston. Just got Ali Velshi's new book, "Small Acts of Courage", so I can also fit that in.
