I agree with Fez - it’s hard to find a non-fiction book compelling if you’re reading only about a country you’re not part of.
I understand the sentiment for more diversified lists, Fez, but there’s no need to be offensive about it.
Lots of good reads on this list! I'd add:-The Body by Bill Bryson,
-Catch and Kill by Ronan Farrow
-Shoe Dog by Phil Knight
I read Bad Blood. It reads like a thriller! Agree with Fez, this list is way too United-Statesified.
-Hot Zone by Richard Preston is practically a classic-The Golden Thread, How Fabric Changed History by Kassia St. Clair
-Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari
-Pure Invention: How Japan's Pop Culture Conquered the World by
Matt Alt
-Hackers: Heroes of the Computer Revolution by Steven Levy
