I'm excited because I'm finally writing my book this year! After more than 5 years, I'm going to do it!

Dana wrote: "I'm excited because I'm finally writing my book this year! After more than 5 years, I'm going to do it!"You can do it!!! All that energy from the past five years is dying to get out and onto the page! Go write that book, Dana, you know you can do it!
I wasn't going to do proper NaNo since I already have an MS I'm editing, but this article just made me want to follow that SHINY NEW IDEA that's been tugging at me for weeks (that I've obsessively been jotting on tiny bits of paper because I just can't help it)...
Here is the (official?) group for NaNo that I have set up two years ago! :D This will be the third NaNoWriMo this group will witness... I myself have attempted (and failed...) NANoWriMo three times, this year being my fourth attempt. Let's grt prepping and writing, peeps!!! :D https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...

Thank you!!
Also, you have to do it! Let's be friends on NaNoWriMo and support each other!

Yes, let's do that! Let's crush this NaNo!

Good luck to both of you!

I'm going to give NaNo a try again this year. Fingers crossed!

good luck Authoress and others
I've heard of most of these books (some of them are even on the old to read list) but didn't know most of them were NaNo novels! This will be my first NaNoWriMo so I'm very inspired! Thanks!
Oh god this is making me nervous. I need to get my butt in gear and figure out which novel I'm going to work on this year aaaaahhh!
I did not realize how many published novels were NaNoWriMo novels! I always start the month off strong but mess it up after a week. I am determined to do it this year!
I literally just asked for recommendations like this on Twitter the other day! Some of these got recommended, and I was very impressed to know they'd started out as NaNo novels. I've made a shortlist to read during November, but now there are some new ones that look appealing, so I might have to rethink that!
Dana wrote: "I'm excited because I'm finally writing my book this year! After more than 5 years, I'm going to do it!"Awesome! Good luck!
I forgot to add that the first book in the "Murder Most Unladylike" series by Robin Stevens began as a NaNo novel too! And they're wonderful.

NANoW..."Thousands of people all over the world take part every November and they track their work and progress on www.nanowrimo.org there are also forums where you can support others and join in on conversations about many different topics. You can't write your story itself on the website, but usually on a Microsoft Word document or Google Doc. :)
Very cool to see all these books written by authors who used NaNoWriMo. It's such a good event but I don't think we get to hear about which books stem from it very often, which is a shame, but this post is rectifying that. ^^

This is gonna be my first year trying NaNo. Hoping I make it to the full 50K, but I'll be happy if I at least write more than I normally would.

Wow! I'm surprised to see some books that I really enjoyed in this list. Wool and Cinder, that's awesome. That's really inspiring to know that these books started out with NaNoWriMo.
I actually just started my own NaNo project, I've never written anything before and have been wanting to get this story out of my head and onto paper for a while.

Thanks!
I have been wanting to write a memoir of my life ..good and bad ... but not sure my family would be ready for it.
The Night Circus is my favorite book of all time. It's so great to see so many amazing books on this list. It gives me hope that my NaNoWriMo projects might actually go somewhere!
