Awesome! Looking forward to getting into it!

Do you think "summer" is already there or do we have to wait for actual summer. Also, when does it end ? I'd need a time frame to know what to aim for (particularly as I am in a coding bootcamp until september...)

Hello! The PDF one wasn't working for me. It kept saying that it was an error. But I checked it again now and it's working. Thank you!
Is there a specific place to post about our progress, or just download the PDF and check it off for ourselves? It would be nice to have an easy way to share it on my feed.

I can't get the PDF download to work and also, is there a place to share my progress and dates for the challenge? That would be a fun thing to do in a specific amount of time!

Hi Catie, we've tested the link and the PDF access across multiple browsers and mobile and the PDF is downloading okay. Do you possibly have a popup blocker, browser security setting or plugin that could be obstructing the download?

The PDF works for me. Thanks for the tip on a General Update!
Antarctica, North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia/South Pacific.
Antarctica, North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia/South Pacific. I know that depending on where you live in the world, you consider different places to be continents, but that's what it means in Canada and the USA.

So we read 7 books to complete the challenge? Or 1 book that consists of those 7 continents, or a book set in our continent?

Well, I will somewhat modify my challenge by selecting books that match criteria in both lists :))
Well, I will somewhat modify my challenge by selecting books that match criteria in both lists :)) Also, just to put a realistic goal, it will be only six books:
1. A book with 500+ pages - From Third World to First: The Singapore Story: 1965-2000
2. A translated book - An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth (in Russian)
3. Book on a subject I don't know much about - Ahead of the Curve: Two Years at Harvard Business School
4. A book with a number or color in the title - 21 Lessons for the 21st Century
5. A books that appears in my Goodreads newsfeed - Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of NIKE
6. A book set in different culture from my own - The Underground Girls of Kabul: In Search of a Hidden Resistance in Afghanistan
The PDF download is working well now. I've just completed my Goodreads Challenge for the year today- 50 of 50 books. I wanted to aim for a lower goal than previous years as life gets in the way but I can see myself surpassing my goal. Looking forward to this challenge!

I think this is a great way to find some interesting books outside my normal reading comfort zone. I'm sharing with my book club and hope they like the suggestions as much as I do.

Some of these I just can't do, I already read in every format, and a genre I've never read before? I'm the kind of person that reads everything I can get my hands on, can't think of a genre I haven't at least tried. Going to try to complete as much as I can though!

Oh, I just LOVE a challenge. Will be waiting for it to be actually summer before I start though. :) Plus I will have to make some adjustments as I don't have/use the Want to Read shelf. And two of those challenges is something I already do (genre + format). But I can't wait to get started. Eep! Already planning on what books I may read when summer hits next month.

I've got almost my whole TBR figured out. Only things I'm missing are a book recommended by a friend and a book set on every continent. I'm going to do it from 21 June to 23 September.

Edit: I'm going to make a group! Later I'll post the link here. Everyone is welcome to join.
So I created a group for this challenge. It's just a beginning. I hope to add all the prompts later during the day and hopefully some more content.

But I was swiftly disabused of the notion. Ask some friends whose reading tastes are different from yours. Here are a few that I found for myself:
Pharmadystopian
Ergodic
K-9 Procedural
Foodie Manga
For this challenge, I'm going with 17776: What football will look like in the future, but I'm not sure what to call the genre. Multimedia? I like that somebody has shelved it as "wierd-internet-sh!t" [sic] [censoring mine].

Thanks for creating a group!
That sounds fun! Only, genre you've never read before could be a challenge unless you go deep into subgenres.

I like a lot of these ideas, though I have already checked many of them off this year on both the beginner and expert levels. This includes a lot in the Past Love section.

I'm already doing the Read One Book for Every Country challenge, and usually try for a monthly bingo with Bookish's challenge....but this just sounds like too much fun!

Best of luck to everyone giving it a go!
I've only decided on two. One I am currently reading for Non-Fiction published in this year is : The Map of Knowledge: How Classical Ideas Were Lost and Found - A History in Seven Cities

I'm thinking this is just an initiative to get you reading more over the summer and doesn't have an actual start/end date like the yearly challenge. I'm starting this weekend and trying to finish by Labor Day Weekend, aka the "summer season". Just looking forward to reading more in general. :)

Totally not my usual type of reading and I couldn't put it down. Enjoy!
My group here on Goodreads is tackling the challenge head-on. Come on over and join in the fun!
