The Super Bowl? At the end they shot of gold fireworks and shot huge quantities of gold confetti into the air. The game really wasn't very good, but who cares? The Broncos defense was incredible, and shut down the Panthers -- that in itself was amazing. and Von Miller won the MVP -- not Peyton, who didn't deserve it in any case, but now he can retire on top, get out and bask, like his boss John Elway.
This was the Super Bowl to go to. Why? It was the 50th as in 50, not Roman numerals no one understands any more.
HUGE, INCREDIBLE noise, not from the crowd, but from the speakers, at least 100 decibels (a week of that and you'd be seriously deaf). You really had to watch the game on the big TV screens, too hard to see what was really happening. But it was very cool to look at the players and think, now there's Peyton or there's Cam. And the hot dogs? Gotta love 'em, but only at the stadium. It was true of halftime -- there was a malfunction with the big screens, so it you didn't see much. They're for TV --
Yes, I was part of a wave, lots of fun, and no one went to the bathroom (that I could see) so, no holes, just a sea of color.
Lady GaGa has the most gorgeous voice, only wish she hadn't taken such liberties with the National Anthem.
It was 72 degrees!!!!! and Sunny!!!!! and when the sun went down, you put on a jacket. Ever cold? Nope.
All in all? It was super --

I'm Baaaack!

Update on BOMBSHELL, the 17th FBI Thriller: I'm nearly finished with the edit. The cover is very cool, explodes with eye-popping color. BOMBSHELL is set in Maestro, Va., (the setting of the 10th FBI thriller, POINT BLANK) and in Washington.
JEWEL OF THE LION (first thriller in A Brit in the FBI series partnered with J.T. Ellison). JEWEL moves fast and you don't know what's going to happen on the next page, and you're biting your toenails or a zombie's toenails. J.T. is an excellent plotter and that means when we brainstorm no plot gets left behind.
Alas, no kids want candy enough to crawl up our oxygen-deprived steep driveway, and the sad thing is, I still have a big bowl of candy, every year, but no one comes, not even the zombies with brain bags.
Take care, Catherine
