When I got my autistic son a laptop for Christmas, I also got him a copy of my favourite Steam game (Don’t Starve) and the multi-player add-on (Don’t Starve Together).

And it’s been so awesome.

In the evening, we sit down (he upstairs in his bedroom, me downstairs in the living room) and we log onto the same server and play together. We have in-game chat, we can work together, we joke and laugh… All without eye contact or mouthnoises.
