Possums in Australia are super cute!! You should include some pics of Baby brush Tail Possums or Baby Sugar Gliders. (I don't have twitter so i can't tweet them)
Put me in the no possums camp please. Although I have to admit it was hilarious when our dog lugged a possum up on to our deck, then had to watch it walk away about 35 minutes later because he was confined to the house until it recovered and vamoosed!
Possums in New Zealand are terrifying. A boyfriend once got attacked in the bathroom, mid stream ... They wait to get you!
I am sorry, but Ms.Ilona/Mr.Andrews is correct. I live on a farm, have always lived on a farm and I'm here to tell you those 'possums are evil bastiches....and don't even get me started on the 'coons and the worst of them all, the tree rats (aka squirrels). Those baby opossum pics are just future demons :-)
All babie animals are cute, but then unfortunately some grow up into nasty adults. I came home from work one day to be gnarled at by a possum hiding in the corner of my 2nd floor apartment overhang. Scared the daylights out of me, went flying down the staircase and unfortunately, through one of the weakest steps. Came to find out by animal control, it was ill. That being said, I'll stick with looking at them in pictures only.
I think they are adorable! I raised three orphans once and released them back into the wild when they were old enough.
Possums are mean & scary! I used to think raccoons were adorable until I saw how they growl & hiss (and scratch & bite) like feral cats on LSD! Also, RABIES!
Raccoons are MEAN, and really scary! I had a pack of them attack my family when we were camping once when I was a kid. *shudders*

My English fiance, having never seen one in real life, thought they were cuddly. He flew over one summer and I had live-trapped a 'coon in my garden, so he waltzes over to the trap cooing and ah-ing and the second he got close enough that 'coon stretched an arm through the wires and tried to skin him. He jumped back and said, "Okay, NOT so cuddly."
