“FCC Regulations and extremist backlash prevent us from showing the proper amount of representation that we want but we all know that these characters are gay/bisexual/etc. We simply can’t say it.”

And

“We’re going to keep pretending that our characters might be gay/bisexual/etc. in order to gain more followers but we’ll never actually confirm it and there will never be a same-sex couple. Sorry.”

Oddly enough, a lot of “children’s” shows these days...
