There are a ton. But here's a few to start:
1 – Write like you speak.
We want to connect with the person behind the business (just as much as the product/service we buy).
2 – Avoid at all costs putting your bio on the home page.
I still cannot believe how frequently I see this (even for somewhat established businesses that have been around for a number of years).
Remember, you have a business that should serve people at some level. And people need to know about your service and what you can do for THEM first (before we tell them about how great we are).
3 – Never tell people how great you are.
Have others do that – through a testimonials page.
Special Note: Go from Copywrong to Copywrite – simplify your great ideas into words that sell (- but you MUST confirm your subscription upon signup)! Once confirmed you'll also find out how to schedule your FREE 20 minute "Strategic Copy Review!" Yippeeeeeeeee!!!!!!
