He got the call before he reached Philadelphia.
The aliens had attacked the marina.
Jenny was now only dust, wafting.
 
The Captain’s cape billowed behind him, wafting.
  Never wanted to go to Philadelphia. 
  Should’ve been at the marina.
 
Too late, he reached the marina.
Was her soul still there, wafting?
Why had he left for Philadelphia?
 
The Captain swore he would never protect Philadelphia, never leave the marina, not while her memory lingered, wafting.
