Brian Jacques

I'm absolutely devestated by the news that Brian Jacques passed away over the weekend. He was a wonderful writer, and if you haven't read any of his Redwall books, why on Earth not?!

Mr. Jacques has long been one of my favorites and I was fortunate enough to get to briefly meet the man at a reading/signing he was doing to promote one of his novels, Eulalia. He was warm, he was cordial, he was funny… and he never, EVER talked down. He was truly a class-act and he will be missed terribly.

Now, if you'll excuse me… I need to find some tissues STAT!
