Whether you celebrate these holidays or not, it is always a good time to be reminded of all the blessings we have and to give back to those we love and even those whom we may not even know.

While we may get caught up in all the commercialism of the holidays with “all the presents, the ribbons, the wrappings, the tags. The tinsel, the trimmings, the trappings, and bags.”, we find moments amidst the hectic holidays to remember what this time of year is truly about.
In the spirit of GIVING, we’d like to host a contest we think is perfect for this season. Announcing the contest of the month,
Ten Reasons I’m Thankful For My Best Friend!
Here’s how the contest works:
1- Write a letter to your best friend expressing why you’re thankful for them and present it to them at some point.
2- In the comments below, write ten reasons you’re thankful for your friend (doesn’t need to be long, just one word for each reason works fine)

Where do we submit the letter to the friend? (I know we write 10 reasons in the comments here though).
10 reasons I'm thankful for my best friend are:1. They are always there for me
2. They are thoughtful
3. They always listen to me
4. They are always sportive of my ideas
5. They like my crazy side
6. They make me feel like I matter
7. We like the same type of books
8. They go anywhere with me
9. We go on cool holidays together
10. They go out of their way to be there for me.
10 reasons why I'm thankful for my best friend:1. He and I share common interests
2. He is always there to talk to me, no matter how early or late it is
3. He keeps me company no matter how I am feeling
4. We always have fun with what we are doing, even if it's something as simple as going to the park
5. He comes to visit me even though I live 2 hours away
6. We both have similar personal life issues, so we are able to help the other out when they are having a tough time
7. They inspire me to do good things with my life

2. She still keeps in touch though I haven't seen her in a year
3. She always comes to me when she needs to talk about how happy, sad or mad she is about something One Direction did
4. We make up strange stories and reference them a week later
5. I know I can trust her
6. I know I can come to her with a problem, she will laugh at me if it's funny, but she will still try to help
7. She sends me book recommendations
8. She told me about the best book series (Tiger's Curse) and best author (Colleen Houck) in the whole wide world
9. She and another friend became my friends when I was having a really bad time and was alone everyday
10. She's just the best and I don't know what I would do without her
She and another friend are the best friends in the whole wide world and I'm grateful for them everyday. It was really hard to choose between them, but when I finally made a decision I know I made the right choice. Most of these reasons work for both my friends and I'm thankful for them everyday. We might not see each other often and we are growing apart each day, but I'm glad I have them now and I will enjoy the time I have with them because you never know when it will end.(I know I was only supposed to write 10 reasons but I'm an overachiever what can you say?) :)
