Writing a story set in the Victorian period is hard, especially with a first-person narrator. I feel like I’m always straddling the line between being appropriately flowery and overly dramatic.

Also I refuse to use the verb “ejaculate” as a synonym for “exclaim." I just refuse.

(Except if it takes on a double or humorous meaning in the context of the conversation, in which case I will consider it because I am twelve.)
