First Line Friday – Operation Dragon
I feel like I say this often (or maybe I only think it), but Max was such a sweetie. Funny story, but I was challenged by one of my Twitter pals to write a book with a cockatrice in it. I didn’t have to think very hard about it before I knew who she’d be hooking up with. YAY, MAX!
The knock on the door startled Ari so badly she squeaked. Embarrassing. More so if her hunk of a mate had been around. Fortunately, she was alone in the house and didn’t have to worry about Liam’s teasing.
Putting down her business book, Ari ran a hand through her hair and scowled at the door. Few people bothered to make the trek into the woods to her house. Meaning, it was either one of her friends (one of her awesome supernatural friends, which wasn’t scowl-worthy in the least) or her parents.
Meh. Her parents. How she didn’t want to deal with them at the moment.
