28th of October. What's called Hump Day (after that amazing camel in a commercial that was pushing something, but I only remember the camel and that great voice. I sure hope the actor got rich off that one). Have you ever really thought about what Hump means? Getting over the hump, (a really great idiom) getting over an impediment, fighting your way to the top and sliding down, free at last, and so that means, I guess, that Wednesday sort of sits there in the middle of the road, a big unmoving blob. You look at it, soon realize you can't go around it, can't burrow through it, can't kick it out of the way or stomp on it, can't pour milk on it and eat it for breakfast, so what do you do with this blasted Hump Day, otherwise known as Wednesday? (Right after getting-in-gear Tuesday and Thursday Night Football Thursday?) Here's what you do: Put Wednesday up on a pedestal, admire it, tell it how very precious and needful it is to your psyche, that it's a blessed mellow day (sort of like Valium) and deserves to be lauded. Be happy that Wednesday is there to settle you and smooth you out as you truck through the week.

What a unique perspective on Wednesdays! Now, what about Mondays? Any thoughts? I'll take anything that will help me get up and start moving on Monday mornings!
