Lena Dunham launched her newsletter, Lenny, yesterday and it may be kindest to say that its content has been overshadowed by Dunham comparing Jezebel to domestic abuse, admitting she doesn't do her own social media, and floating the possible end of "Girls" after season 6. Her social media intern did apologize on Instagram for the Jezebel comment, though. The first issue of the newsletter is about 7,300 words long, and reads like an ambitious NYU student blog that someone emailed you for no obvious reason. Dunham asked Hillary Clinton if she's a feminist while managing to mention the name of the newsletter six times in eight questions. I'm obviously a big fan of "the rise of the experimental email," but so far Lenny isn't that.
