Teach the Books
Hi Teacher Friends!
I’ve included discussion questions in the 2nd edition of Is Lena Pretty? and in People Aren’t Socks after several teachers who taught the book in class requested extension activities. The questions provided are just suggestions of things you may want to talk to your young reader about. Click here for a pdf of the discussion questions for both ILP and PAS you are free to use in your classroom or at home.
A former teacher, I have also included several activities to go along with the book such as printable word searches, puzzles and coloring pages. She has also created 4 classroom-style activities with worksheets and instructions for use in several different grade-levels for Is Lena Pretty?. Many of the activities have a minimum but not maximum grade because they can be used on different levels yielding much deeper thought as grade level progresses. Please feel free to alter, change and experiment with these activities. Teachers are a creative bunch and to this day I’m incredibly grateful for all of my “outside-the-box” teachers.
Visit often for additional activities and updates.
