Reader Mail... Friday?

I figure I should address this since it's been asked of me several times over the last 2 weeks...

"What happened to "The King's Confidante"? I recommended it to a few people and I can't find it anywhere now. What's the deal?"

Well, I can actually answer this question now.

"The King's Confidante" has been sold to Samhain Publishing for re-release as an e-book, and eventually as a print release. Because of this, I had to take down the story as quickly as possible. This will either give my readers cause for celebration, or, well, really piss them off.

I'd always intended to polish up Spence's story and send it out when it was finished, and that its time on FFF was sort of a very long beta reading session. I'll admit I'm a little worried to let this information out, because given all the pirating sites out there, I'm afraid that someone will feel justified in pirating it when it does come out because it was initially available in beta form for free. Some people might accuse me of selling out, but well, this is my job, you know? Gotta pay the rent and buy the groceries somehow. :)

Still though, I know more than a few people won't be happy about the fact that they won't get to read Spence's story for another 8-10 months, and I offer my apologies for that. We still cool?
