Flooding in Japan

Typhoon Etau has been causing heavy flows of water since Monday. But on Wednesday it brought a great flood to eastern Japan, washing away houses and making people having to take refuge in their roofs.

Now after days of heavy rain the prefectures ofIbaraki and Tochigi are completely unrecognizable.

Officials say more than 170,000 citizens have been evacuated.
