As a "mature" reader I was abit weary about reading a paranormal novel but because I love SR's writing, I never hesitated to buy the Prince or the Raven, and I must admit that it did take me the first few chapters of the Raven to get into the story, but once I did I could not put it down. It obviously contains alot of paranormal elements, but is essentially a beautifully written love story based in Florence, and is full of art history as well. I LOVE this book and continue to highly recommened it to anyone debating whether to read it or not. Looking forwards to its sequel The Shadow which releases on 2nd Feb 2016 with anticipation
