Book pressure

When I bring a pile of books home from the library, I usually stack them with the biggest at the bottom of the pile and the smallest at the top. Then I start reading from the top, smallest first. And then when I have only a little time left before I have to return them, I am left with the thick tome and only a few days to read it all.
