Your Life is Your Work of Art
Life, when lived well, is a work of art. I believe to live well is to be present to your life and to attempt to do everything to the best of your ability. If you do things to the best of your ability and fully experience them, you will not be left wondering whether or not you lived life to the fullest.
When you do something to the best of your ability, with presence, intention, and purpose, you create something beautiful, you create a work of art.
If you are a chef, aim to cook to the best of your ability. If you are a dancer, aim to dance to the best of your ability. If you are a teacher, aim to teach to the best of your ability. Whatever you do, be it an accountant, surgeon, or bricklayer, strive to do it with presence, intention, and purpose. Those in your field will recognize your efforts, your passion, your artistry. Isn’t this one of the ways in which we feel fulfilled? Knowing that we performed to the best of our ability, that we gave it our all?
If you can live each day with presence, intention, and purpose, you will see that each day is more fulfilling and meaningful, and that life becomes easier. It is a conscious choice to live to the best of your ability. Otherwise, you risk going through life on autopilot, going through the motions but not consciously engaged.
Each day is a canvas upon which you can create beautiful works of art if you desire. In this way, we are all artists. What will you create today?
Peace and blessings,
Sullins
