New Book (not a Shadow sequel)

Just a quick update and an apology. I’m admittedly terrible at this so I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to post something new. Y’all are busy, hardworking folks, so I convinced myself to wait until I had something relatively important to say. Whether that’s just me being lazy or true is up for debate. First, and most important, still no word on a Shadow sequel, but no news is good news. Not having an answer is better than a straight ‘no’, right? The paperback comes out in a couple weeks and I’ve been told it all hinges on how that goes. Most people seem to think it will do well, let’s hope their right. Fingers double and triple crossed. The main reason though for this post is that I’ve finally finished a new novel. It’s currently in the hands of my publisher and I should hopefully hear back on it anytime now. Stay tuned for updates, I promise to post more often when I have more news. Happy Friday!

New Book Hints:
Four teenagers (one of whom is not entirely like the others)
Adventure in the streets of Austin, TX
Some old school gunslingers.

Jenni At TeenBookCon, two of my students asked you to sign their copies "off the record" (they had to leave early, but REALLY wanted your signature!)-- I'm certain you already had some fans there, but you created some real devotees with that act! The girls chose to go "off list" and read your book for their lit circles project, and their resulting work was wonderful! I'll be anxiously awaiting news of the new book-- thank you for putting such wonderful stories in our hands!

Joe Shine I've never been very good at following rules so I'm glad that my breaking them worked out. Happy to do it again! I had a blast at TeenBookCon and I hope your two students did too in the shortened time they got to attend. And again, as a rule breaker myself, I applaud them going "off list" to read it. Ren would be pleased.
