Firs Time Jitters

So last week I got to experience the amazing high of signing my book for complete strangers. Yeah, they were only ARCs but I’m still counting it as legit. Of course it wasn’t all rainbows and lollipops. When the first person approached me and asked for a signature I just sort of stared back at them. My gut reaction was to say, “Why?”, but I kept my cool. Sort of. I first tried to sign the cover. Black Sharpie signing a mostly black cover, yeah, that woulda shown up... Special thanks to my publicists for stepping in and guiding me away from such a rookie move. It all went smoothly after that, unless you count that one time I forgot my own signature and just scribbled nonsense. If this was you, please accept this formal apology. Come find me and I’ll redo it, proper style. Anyway, not sure how long this post can or should be so I’ll end it here.

More to come.

Joe Shine Hi Meghan! I want too, correction, I need too write the sequel, but the fate of Ren, Junie and Gareth is still in the hands of the publisher. They're supposed to decide late spring I think. The moment I know something I'll post about it. Thanks for reaching out and fingers crossed for the sequel. Tell your friends to buy, read, comment, and review (or any combination of those). It's the best shot we have for getting the green light.

Vincent I really hope you do too, I checked this out of the public library yesterday and finished it today. It had me stuck to it because it was so good. I really want your publisher allows you to make a sequel.

Joe Shine Hi Vincent. Happy to hear you enjoyed it. I love hearing about all the ways the people have found Shadow. I never expected anyone other than family and friends to read it so it's pretty cool to think that it's really out there for people to stumble upon and enjoy. So much fun. Have a great one!
