Sepp Blatter Resigns From FIFA Presidency

After 17 years as head of FIFA, Sepp Blatter announced his resignation amid the corruption scandal that has rocked world football's governing body. So Sepp Blatter's gone? Not really Not for another six to nine months, at which point a new FIFA president will be elected. But yes, Blatter has resigned saying he will step down from football's governing body once a new president is elected. Seemingly in denial, Blatter is reported to have said on the 29th May he told an interviewer on Swiss television: “Why would I step down? That would mean I recognise that I did wrong.”
