Alex Kingston: “I haven’t been told I’m done”

To borrow Russell T Davies’ colourful term for the kind of frenetic de-clothing we could expect if Alex Kingston and Peter Capaldi ever appeared on screen together; beware! There’s a ‘Sex Storm’ coming…
Alex Kingston has hinted that River Song is far from done with the Doctor. Speaking at Mega-Con, she said: “All I can say is… spoilers! But what I will say is the sonic screwdriver that I had in Silence in the Library, which had been given to me by the Doctor, is not the sonic screwdriver that has been seen… yet.”
And it probably won’t ever be the Sonic Screwdriver that the Doctor uses but as talisman go for a potential return, it’s a good one to cling to. After all, Capaldi is yet to have his own sonic and it could easily be the one seen in Silence in the Library. Although that would effectively close off the loop that started with Silence in the Library and ended with the Doctor snogging her consciousness from the Library computer (All I ever get from my Library computer is a fine) in The Name of the Doctor.
Kingston went on to add: “I haven’t been told I’m done [on the show],” and that River is well versed in the ever-changing face of the Doctor: “Well, River’s dealt with a lot of Doctor’s faces in the past, so I don’t think that it would be a surprise to her.”
So, do you want a sex storm? (I mean, in the show…I wasn’t offering some sort of weather based orgy. There are apps for that. And if there aren’t they should be called Willywaw. You know, like a williwaw…I’ll get my coat…I mean I’ll leave, I’m not getting dressed for the impending storm…I’ll shut up now).
Are you keen to see River return to the TARDIS? Are you glad to see the back of her? Should The Twelfth Doctor be allowed to establish his own cast and story arcs before we bring back previous characters?
