L is for Lovers

I’m back with the ABCs of Romance this week, picking back up with the letter L.

Any romance by definition, has to have a hero and a heroine who become lovers or a couple by the end of the book. I thought Id give you some famous pairs of lovers to illustrate the timelessness of love.

And since I just watched the latest episode of Outlander, here are

Jamie and Claire Fraser:1e95531d6753c0fb7ce3bd5045aedede

One of the most romantic couples of the Regency period from Pride and Prejudice:

Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy: pride-and-prejudice-1995-restored-2010-x-250

A fiery couple from the South in Gone with the Wind:

Scarlett OHara and Rhett Butler: 507px-Gable-Leigh_GWTW-b

The most poignant couple from Love Story:

Jenny Cavalleri and Oliver Barrett IV: love story

And the tear-jerker couple from The Notebook:

Allie Hamilton and Noah Calhoun: 215px-Posternotebook

Who is your favorite pair oflovers?
