Fast Draft Day 8: Backfilling

After yesterday's fast draft session carried me away from the story on a wave of dialogue, I knew I had to go back today to fill in more detail. I did just that during the first hour of writing today, and I'm pleased (for the moment) with the results. Like all of the scenes, it will still need another pass to fill in sensory details and to form the connections.  But that's for another pass.

The rest of the session was spent writing the literary equivalent of a film montage. It was fun to write since it was in Durango's voice, and it allowed me to get closer to his POV again.
