Knight in Shining Armour (poem)
I want a knight in shining armour
To sweep me off my feet
Who rides a white horse to battle
But knows when to accept defeat

I want Prince Charming to be all mine
And surprise me anew each day
I want a man who knows what he wants
But also lets me have a say

I want a king who holds me captive
But is susceptible to my spell
Who showers me with attention
And knows all my quirks too well

I want a knight in shining armour
To get down on his knees
Who worships the ground I walk on
And knows just how to please

I want Prince Charming at my beck and call
Turning the ladies a jealous shade of green
I want a man who knows his worth
But cherishes the power of his queen

No, let me rephrase my wishes
I want a hero in my life
Who chooses me as his wife
Because he cannot live without me
And is as perfect as a man can be
With all the flaws a human has
I want someone to love me so much
That he needs no shining armour, no white horse and no palace
