Fast Draft Day 3: Holes

3014 words for today. Although dialogue and characterization went well, I realized that the setting didn't change for the last 15 pages. That would be fine later in the story. At the beginning, when you're trying to introduce characters, the setting needs to work overtime to give the reader something to look at while you're laying the foundation. I've made notes to recast the blocking in the section I wrote today. I'll do that on the second pass, before the descriptive segments get dropped into place.

The work so far:

Date/Words/Total

12-3/3014/9242

12-2/3131/6228

12-1/3087/3087
