FEARSCAPE IS GETTING PUBLISHED!
That's right. Fearscape is finally getting published. But I'm going to have to implement some changes.
1. Gavin is going to be a vampire. The publisher feels that the horrible things he does will be more palatable to an audience if he isn't actually human.
2. The ending will change. Again, the publisher thinks that the ending is a bit too disturbing for a discerning audience and I should go "the Fifty Shades of Grey" route and end with a wedding. Everyone loves weddings. And children.

Still, you definitely don't strike me as the type who'd accept such drastic changes. :P
I would probably question why they would want such changes if that were a nonnegotiable part of a contract. If they could give me a good reason and a good offer, I would consider it.My stories have actually changed quite a bit from their original incarnations and all of those changes were driven by reviewer feedback. I can be quite fluid as a writer, and I really do try to please my audience since they are my everything. <3
I'd bet the "good reason" in such a case would be "because vampires sell", so... ^^
