Proteas : Chokers No More!

South Africa, so often labelled World Cup 'chokers', completed an emphatic win by finishing on 134 for one with 32 overs to spare. Victory meant the Proteas had, after several heartbreaking reverses that started at the SCG with a rain-affected semi-final loss to England in 1992, finally won a knockout match at the World Cup. .A motion of no confidence in President Jacob Zuma was defeated in the National Assembly on 17th March 2015 when the ruling African National Congress used its majority to keep him in power. “The results of the division is as follows: yes – 113, no – 221, abstain – 8. The motion is therefore not agreed to,” Speaker Baleka Mbete announced after the vote.
