Well, the ink is barely dry on the contract, so plans aren't very far along yet. I do not even know if Baen plans an ARC, but iirc from the Ivan book that they generally appear about 2 - 4 months before pub date. Which would be November - December, maybe.

This is nice!
When I discovered your work this summer, I started reading in internal chronology order and I must admit I was a bit sad when I discovered Cordelia wasn't the main character of the whole series. Though Miles stole my heart in "Mountains of Mourning". I'm very happy Cordelia will return.
Good luck with the novel!

The lead time is sufficient that the audiobook could possibly come out around the same time as first hardcover publication, like Ivan's book. We're still very early in the process here, though, so it's a bit soon to be making predictions or promises. I will have more news on this in a few months, I'm sure.

I have something truly wonderful to look forward too in 2016 now.
Thank you Lois for more stories!

Thanks for answering Lois!

Can you tell us what the timeframe of the story is going to be or is it too soon for that?

I'll be very glad to hear more of Cordelia, and seeing the grown-up Miles (and Ivan?) through her eyes would be a treat as well.
Thanks for the good news Lois!

And many, many more thanks for all the previous books. I read an interview with you a while back which included this:
"I prefer to imagine Ms. Average Reader as a 40-year-old children's cancer hospice nurse just home from a bad day at work. She doesn't need me (or any other wittering writer) to teach her all about the human condition. She needs someone to hand her a drink."
Exactly, though I personally would add "... and sit down and chat, and every now and then discover a new insight into the human condition together."
I read Memory for the first time when I was looking for a job (trying to figure out what on earth one actually does with a degree in mathematics...), and Miles's and Simon's struggles with the question of how much our work defines our identity was exactly what I needed as a counterpoint to my own, less galactic-scale, troubles.
Awesome news, thanks! Can't wait (trying to guess where the eARC will come out from the projected release date...)

Well, last round, the book came out in mid-October, and the eARC came out in mid-August, iirc. So maybe December? That's up to Baen, though. No one has actually said there will be an eARC, after all. It's just being assumed. I suppose I should ask...
Note that the book hasn't even had its final edit yet, and there's no guessing what other items in the Baen list it all has to be balanced with.
