Just a brief update: I’m currently working on “Dark Eyes” part 13, and of the “KI: Hauntings” stories, two are completed and the rest is coming along now that I have finally decided on a proper concept.

A little exerpt:

“Are we waiting for anyone else?” he asked.

“I’m just waiting for you, Mister Mathers.”

“Ah.” More shuffling. “Will you be bringing any equipment?”

“Nope. That’s not how I work.”

“I see… Well, eh, in that case we had better go, hadn’t we?”

He gestured at the small boat at the end of the forlorn jetty. The thing was old, worn, small even for a dinghy, and overall as decrepit as the jetty itself.

“I was told there would be a motorised boat,” Mathers complained.

Cat rolled her eyes and swallowed a scoff. “It is motorised. I take it you never used one?”

“Uhm…” He glared at the dinghy as if it had committed a terrible personal offence.

“I didn’t think so,” said Cat. “Better let me do the steering then.”
